AQS PADUCAH QUILT SHOW 2011 PHOTOS!

Whew!...it has taken me all day but I have finally uploaded the many photos I took on Friday at the Paducah quilt show! I have 2 new albums...one a brief one with just some pics of the Pavilion "Bubble", our bus and RFREE, Me and Sewsumi. The second album you will definitely want to check out to see just a few of the many AMAZING quilts that were on display. I did not get to see anywhere near all of them....but did run around trying to get as many pics as I could of the ones that jumped out at me as being special....and there were SO MANY!!

Hey Linda you have some of the quilts I didn't get pictures of. I didn't get to see near all the quilts either. You are right,there were soooo many to look at. I took tons of pics too but haven't had time to post all of them. I especially like the scenery quilts with the trees and rocks and stuff. I am going to get off here and look at your albums right now. Thanks for posting!!

WOW! Amazing. True art. How do they even think of this stuff. Thanks so much for sharing. This stuff is so amazing it doesn't even make it onto my bucklist.

I agree Nancy! The creativity and imagination that creates these quilts is amazing! I especially love the landscape quilts that almost look like photographs only made out of fabrics. The quilt of the backside of a bulldog has a humorous quality but when you realize the whole design was created totally by thread stitching on a white cloth background it becomes a work of art.

Thank you for sharing -- I've never in my life seen such beautiful, graceful quilts. How many years must they have been quilting in order to have such incredible skill!? Here I'm working at the D9P and then to look at those. WOW!!!!
