When I first jumped back into quilting I was blog hopping and came across a quilt that was one big star. I didn't bookmark the page, and now I can't find it in the blogsfield. Does any one know the one I'm ramblin' on about?

Re: Big Blocks
Are you referring to this one? In Color Order: Giant Vintage Star Quilt Tutorial
Just made this top, you can see it here: Quilt Paradigm - this was quick and easy. The quilt looks SO different depending on the fabric you chose! I did mine in solids, the one shown at In Color Order shows prints. This is a fun one

Re: Big Blocks
Vonnie suggested the carpenters wheel - not difficult to make and can be made bed size by adding several borders.
Another might be the Lone Star - much more difficult to me.lone star.jpg

Re: Big Blocks
[QUOTE=Vonnie;473322]And another one: Four hour quilt, easy carpentars star, quiltfrog, quick and easy[/QUOTE
Thank you so much for this site! I have spent the last two days going through every pattern I could find looking for something to make for a guest bedroom. I wanted a star pattern, but was having trouble finding the perfect one...not too busy, not too complex, not too scrappy, etc. I went to this site, scrolled down, and found the blue/white star with the multiple borders which is exactly what I wanted...including the color palette. (I find choosing fabrics to be one of the hardest parts because I'm not that good at envisioning what the end product will look like. It's always easier for me to see it before I buy the fabric. ) You just saved me from spending yet another day looking at patterns!Judy

Re: Big Blocks
It could be the Lone Star pattern. Click here to see one. Lone Star Quilts
If that is the one you are thinking of, there is a pattern you can buy with printed interfacing making it easy to do. Here is a link to that quilt kit. 10% off QuiltSmart Lone Star Diamond Grid Kits: Interfacing & Pattern
I made one from the kit, and it was easy.Last edited by madampolo; February 17, 2014, 06:55 AM.Joyce "She who dies with the most fabric wins!!"
