It is sooooo cute! I think I will do it with flannel though because I have a lot of it. I have a nephew coming in May and this would be perfect for him to lay on the floor and just be cute on!!
Finished is way better than perfect! :icon_bigsmile:
Flannel would work just fine for this. This is the same concept I use to make rag quilts except I use three layers of flannel (no batting/fluff) for the blocks and sew through them corner to corner with an 'X'.
This would be very expensive with 8 charm packs to make a small quilt. Doing it with flannel, or even cotton, would make a cute quilt as well, and, if cotton, the edges would rag. I have made it before like Bubby did. I really like the stuffed idea though.
I've heard that minky is sort of hard to sew on b/c it shifts around. Anyone had that problem? I also was thinking flannel would work just fine & be easier to sew on. JCY
When I saw the quilt in the background, I thought it would be put together like you would normally do a rag quilt. But her version was certainly different. I like how the front is raggy and the back is smooth.
