    What an interesting shop hop

I went to my favorite quilt shop, tons of batiks. I wanted to get some fabric to replace in a pillow kit I bought at another store. Wasn't to thrilled with some in the kit. I get up to cut and she asked do you want a fat quarter? Huh? Yes we just do that just for batiks. I've been shopping there for over 20 years and was never asked that. Then I realized I wasn't buying batiks before. lol Do You have a shop that does this?

Next store to ask why my embroidery design is so crappy and I think it's the stabilizer.

    Where did you get this?
Here when I bought my machine
This is the generic one, you should try this.

She say's she has learned a lot about stabilizers and steered me to something different. I sure hope so !

Then I show her these bobbins I bought that don't fit my machine.( Last month I had bought them lose, taking in my original to match ,the original fits but these are tight and can't wind ). So she tells me this are for a Singer ( I have a Babylock) 'We probably sold them to you back then.' I have been using the wrong bobbin this whole time!

I'm not mad, just glad a few mysteries are solved! And I bought a cool quilt pattern at the first shop

oh and then my pet shop changed locations and had to hunt that down. lol

Yes, my LQS does this. Not sure with all fabric or just batiks though. I'll have to remember to ask.

That's odd the bobbin was not interchangeable. I use the same in my Singer and Babylock all the time.

I'm glad you have solved some of life's great mysteries!

I didn't get the FQ for free, she just asked me the size I wanted. I'm so glad I know though!

The ' new singer' bobbin wouldn't fit on the bobbin winder. She said I can use the older ones, but doesn't suggest it. Good grief. lol

My LQS will cut a fat quarter in anything but the sale fabric and that's a 1/2 yd minimum.

My LQS will cut FQ's from any bolt, except sale/clearance. I have an order in for 20 specific FQ's and will pick them up next week. Love my LQS and sweet owner.
