Want to Make this! Bean Bag Chair for Kids

I am going to check out the cuddle fabrics at the M* store.
Anyone ever make something like this before?

That would be so comfy with the Cuddle fabric exterior! Sounds perfect for a winter day of reading or videos.

It's very cute but I think too expensive to make. You need 6 yards of fabric and two bags of poly fill. The poly fill bags are 2.5 lbs. and cost $34 per bag. So, I'm not sure how much the cuddle fabric runs, but I think you're looking at well over $100 to make this bean bag.

Don't forget, Vanessa has sponsors and gets most of her materials supplied for her videos. Realistically, I'd rather get one for $30 for $40. Just sayin...............

another way to go would be to buy a cheap bean bag chair and make a new cover.

And you wouldn't have to worry about those little poly-pellets getting e v e r y w h e r e ! ! ! You don't have to ask me how I know. Plus, if you just make a cover, you can take it off and wash it.

That is brilliant. Being cheap me I would use some of my fabric stash and find a different way to fill it. But getting an old bean bag chair is pretty darn smart too

I made one years ago when my 19-yr-old son was a toddler. I made a muslin inner bag, a fleece cover with a zipper so I could wash it, and stuffed it with the pellets. This was before Minkee was created. I agree - buy a cheap one and just make a cover for it. And don't ever open the bag up and let those pellets out! They're like the pink bathtub stain in The Cat In The Hat Comes Back!

I could totally see using parts of old fleece footie-jammies to make this! She had some favorites that I was going to make into something else. Now to find a "cheap" bean bag....
