    Starting my double hour glass

Well, I have a little time to myself today, so having been inspired by Handsome Ryan, I have been cutting strips from my stash for my double hour glass. I think I am going to make a twin size, using all different colors of polka dot fabrics. In my mind, it looks good! LOL. I have made one block so far, it goes together just like butter!! So easy! Here is the link he gave me for the "no template" instructions.

The instructions call for 2.25in. Strips.... I would probably do 2.5, because that's the usual width of strips, and the width if jelly rolls.

Jenny has a tube quilting video that gives you the same block... I think. But, it takes more strips. It's great for using scraps of strips from other projects....

I really like this block.... It looks fun to make... I love the one Ryan just completed. It's on my list.. My very long list...

I am using 2.5 strips with mine, I thought I would be using a jelly roll, but I decided not to. It is turning out really nice.

Well, I got sucked into getting the daily deal today - it was just too pretty. But, it sure is perfect for the pattern. I will be starting this as soon as my package arrives.

Looking forward to seeing your pics. I love this design

I can't wait to see it! This pattern is so sweet I hope everyone who said they want to make one does. We should start an album for pics of them. Which leads me to my next point...

I want to see your blocks! I loved Ryan's and this one is definitely on my list. I have a swirl jelly roll that I have been holding onto for just the right pattern and this may be it! Love that swirl pattern. I multiple pre-cuts in it....
