I don't think it's a mouse, it looks more like a rat. Take a look at the tail, I believe the ears aren't big enough to be a mouse.

That is a rat....not a mouse! They are actually quite a tame animal. Our youngest had two of them, and they would ride around on our shoulders.

Where did she get the pattern for the teddy bear?? When I was a teen, my mom used to make tiny teddy bears that look EXACTLY the same. She said the pattern had been published in a magazine that is either long gone, or she's not remembering the name right. I've been searching for that pattern for years...

Cute..yes it is a rat. A friend of DD's has 2 of them. They supposedly are great pets. (not for me though) DGK's have hamsters, and I am not crazy about them either. (not a rodent kinda gal). Still trying to decipher SisterDi's post. Not sure where it came from, or what it means.

Is this for real? If so, that is so darn cute!!! Is it photo shopped? Seems hard to believe the pic with the rat cuddling the toy. When I was young and before Joe and I married, one of his roommates brought home a white rat from the lab (studying to be a doctor). I actually got teary when that little guy died.

That is the cutest picture!! I had pet mice when I was a kid, they really are tame & friendly. My Mom was the greatest, we could have any pet we wanted as long as we took care of it.. We had mice, frogs, horny toads, ducks, fish, guinea pigs and the usual cats & dogs.. She did draw the line at snakes, which was ok. Not a big fan of snakes. LOL

She's trying to say the mouse is stuffed too. In Los Angeles China Town, or anywhere really, they stuff stuff. I have seen that too and told my girls we would never buy anything like that. It was hard to tell them that people do that kind of thing to animals.

I still love the picture and will try and believe it's not true
