I have fiskers (with manly pink handles!) which I like okay. I'd like to get a pair of Kai's because I've heard very good things about them. Kai Scissors Probably the Kai 5250: 10 inch Dressmaking Shears.

I love my Ginghers for cutting fabric. They are solid and very well. I refer to them my 'Big Girl' scissors.
I prefer a small light weight Fiskar with a micro tip for snipping threads, that I can't live without..
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....
I have a left handed pair of Ginghers that I have had forever, and love. Also a 2 Fiskars (big and little), and DH bought me a new pair of titanium fiskars for Christmas. Haven't used those yet, but they feel really light.
I also have some larger Kai's, 8" dressmaker's and 8" Gingher's dressmakers. I like the Gingher's much better. They are more comfortable for me to use, and they are super pretty floral.
For little snips, like embroidery snips, Kai's again, just cant beat them for SHARP and precise. And great prices.
Ditto to KAI. I've never had better scissors. They're extremely sharp and precise and prices are quite reasonable for the excellent quality. KAI also makes REAL left handed scissors, not just a reverse of the handles, but the blades as well.
I hardly ever use scissors...always the rotary cutter. When sewing, I use my Fiskar snippers. I have been looking at buying a pair of Kai's though. Been hearing good things about them.
I would love to invest in an expensive, very nice pair of scissors, but there are too many in the house who seem to think that any pair of scissors can be used for their projects. Which is how several pairs of fiskars have been ruined and why I don't use expensive scissors.

I now have a pair, probably just like yours! (Thanks Secret Santa!) I like the smaller scissors for snipping threads at the machine too.
I have been happy with my techni-color stork scissors I got from M* for travel scissors. They have even trimmed my daughter's hair while we were on vacation!
I have tried the spring activated Fiskars shears and they are OK for cutting fabric around patterns (clothes & crafts). Although I find I prefer a pair I have with no brand name on them. They have two-tone purple handles with a cushy bit on the inside. The blades are very sharp and have held an edge very well. They aren't too heavy for my hands, nor do they require a lot of force to open after making a cut. I haven't been able to find another pair.
I keep a pair of "paper" scissors in the same jar as the the others. Then there is NEVER a reason to use the 'FABRIC" scissors on anything else.
I do rely on my rotary cutter for most things though.
Hmm, now that I think about it, I guess I collect scissors.
