I started at the beginning of December. The room has always been my sewing/craft room but it was also a catch all because we don't have much storage space in our house. I did a major purge and re-organzation first, then started painting the old dark, yucky fake wood paneling. I made a huge work table out of a bunch of small side tables from ikea and topped it off with a piece of veneered plywood trimmed to fit exactly. The tables sort of make shelves which is great for storage. I framed my inspiration art piece⦠a piece of original art I have had most of my life but never got around to having framed. Painted my shelves and a thread holder, constructed a light box, got a gidget table for my one sewing machine that I'm going to use as a FMQ machine, and set that up with a table and desk around it to support quilts while I am working on them, etc. And the other day I sewed a curtain, chair cushion cover and a pillow and chair seat that all coordinate! It's basically done, but I have plans for a couple wall hangings, etc. Here it is!!!!
