Just giving the heads up for the Local Kansas and Missouri peeps who might want to get on up there Tuesday!
It's across the street from the Retreat Center. Just down on the opposite side from the Main shop! They have also started building a burger joint attached to the Main M* shop too!
Hope it's one of the good burger joints! Is it a franchise one or a Mom and Pop burger joint?
I'm thinking a burger joint is a good place for DH to sit while waiting for me to finish shopping. That is, the next time we are by that way. It's been about 2 1/2 years since we were by there. I did not really know that much about M* then but after looking at the videos, it was Sarah that I talked to in the store.
DH has gotten in the habit of looking up quilt stores when he plans our trip routes. You should have seen how much I bought at Marshall's Dry Goods and his comment was "Is that all you're going to get, don't know when we will be by here again." He's a keeper!

I am so impressed with the Doan family - they are very hard workers and just keep going and making things even more special than they already are! I so want to make a visit!!

M*QC forum is full of the best people!
I'm not just buying fabric, I am supporting the economy...
A bad day in the sewing room is better than a good day at the office.
I would love to go just to get out of the house. But I have my 2 year old granddaughter. Please ohhh and awwe for me and tell Jenny I said "Hi" if you get to see her.
I was going to say the same thing! They are the most prominent citizens of the town, I am sure! I wish I wasn't 801 miles down the road. Maybe some day I'll get there.
Planning a pilgrimage myself this summer...got the Hubs all talked into it. I plan to take one of the classes and he can "hang out" wherever while I'm in class (and shopping)
"She who dies with the most fabric wins"
Ecclesiastes 9:10 "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."
Come with me in October and we'll go to the forum gathering! It'll be a fun trip.
A burger joint will be a great addition. Someplace for the non fabric people to hang out. I hope it has a counter and you can get awesome milkshakes there.
