I heard about them. Is it worth it and did it help you?

Re: Does anyone use the DD?
I just ordered them....hope they work for me. I used my quilter's cash so I only paid a dollar plus shipping for them. Hope they work. I guess if they work, $6 well spent...if they don't, they'll just go in with all the other useless notions I have.Shirley aka buckeyequilter

Re: Does anyone use the DD?
I saw Eleanor Burns use them on one of her videos about a month ago and have been looking for them ever since. I am not good at choosing color values and generally choose colors in the middle so my quilts don’t usually have much contrast unless I am working with a precut. I was so excited to see them pop up as the DD. Then I ended up getting a layer cake for the disappearing pinwheel quilt with it. This is my third order this week and my second from MSQC. I have to go back on my fabric diet for awhile anyway. Waa....Theda :icon_wave:

Re: Does anyone use the DD?
I had a hand held version of them. I gave it away. I usually don't have any trouble when picking fabric colors. If a fabric doesn't feel right to me, I pick something else. I usually take my time when picking my fabrics because that is my favorite part so I don't mind if I have to audition multiple fabrics!!

The red will take the color out of the picture and just show you light, medium and dark to assist in placement of the values of your fabric. Still thinking about these.Ann

These might be an alternative to glasses. I can't fit other glasses over my own.

Re: Does anyone use the DD?
My friend the Long arm quilter uses them a lot..she has what is called the "Ruby Beholder".... she is very fussy about color placement... in my group of 4,, the other 3 can play for an hour moving my block around the design wall.... LOL,, I take most all of my block for them to play with... I get to a point where I just say.. "good enough"... and begin sewing!!!"Each day well-lived and Happy;
