OMG...LOL, you don't. I went out several years ago to get a new foot pedal for mine, came home with a new machine! He'll get over it!!

Actually he just got home, and just rolled his eyes at me. He just asked me "where are you going to put this one?"
Told him how much and he didn't say much, just mumbled some stuff. He was more shocked at its size I think. Has an 11 1/2" harp. BIG machine!!!

Lucky you, a new machine and an understanding DH. I am jealous, I have been having a discussion about a new machine with my DH and it did not come out well, sigh. With a big 0 birthday coming up in a few weeks I was hoping.

My DH purchased my Viking / Husqvarna when we were engaged to be married......I was shocked, he took me one week to get the engagement & wedding rings, and 10 days later came home with my Sewing Machine......!!

You know, you "could" suggest the sewing machine as a gift for the next 5 years......!!!! Take a big chuck of the household budge every month, bring it home, set it up in your sewing room....he might not even notice Bonnie Bella .....LOL!
