So I spent my points on a Binding Tool.....

I used the 1000 points I won to buy the Binding Tool....really been wanting this....and now I wanna make one of those friendship braid quilts. I am looking for a complete pattern for the one with sashing between braids so I know how much fabric to get. All I can find is patterns for the one without sashing. Any body have a good website or pattern?
To quilt or not to quilt?.....what a ridiculous question!

I just followed Jenny's tutorial and used jelly roll strips.

I used a jelly roll for the one I have waiting for quilting. I used jellyroll solid white for the sashing and inner border and followed Jenny's tutorial as well. There are 40 2 1/2 in stips in the Hunky Dory line I used, and I guess it would depend on how many prints you are planning to use in your quilt as to how much yardage of each? Sorry, not much help, am I??

I followed Jenny's tutorial and used a bali pop and put a 3" sashing in between and a 5" border all around. The binding tool worked great, a really fun quilt to make. Hope this helps a bit.

I just bought a beautiful Bali pop last weekend and was wondering what to do with it..thanks for the picture. Did you do it with just one Bali pop?

Can't wait to get started now! Darn work anyway..messing with my sewing

I really like how that looks...I think I will try those measurements(3" and 5" borders) I will just use the whole jelly roll and then see how long my sashing needs to be.

Yep I used just one jelly roll (or bali pop) just kept cutting to the end, not a lot left over.
Have fun and enjoy. Work !!! it sure does get in the way, but does help pay for my hobbies :-))
