I would have to stitch by hand, so maybe a small pillow or I guess it could go on a quilt along the borders or maybe on an apron.

Quilting is endless with ideas!

It is a Japanese quilting technique and it is really neat . I have some of the patterns downloaded to my emb. machine so I can do QSG. It is very pretty and each pattern has a different meaning.

I just was at the big quilt expo ( overwhelming) and saw a technique called sashiko. I now find out machines can do this as well. Has anyone done this? And what would be the purpose? I found it very pretty and would like to try it but I don't know what I would use it for.
