    Question about Charm Squares

I realize that all charm square packets are not the same number. Knowing that, most of the charm square packets that I purchase have 42 squares in them. What is the general rule of thumb.....how many packets to buy for what size quilt?

For a single bed quilt you need 5 charm packs. For a queen I believe it's about 8 and for a king it's 10. Hugs, Jan L

Thanks, Jan. I am searching around for a chart with all this on it so I can post it on my sewing room wall but you have given me a beginning. :-) Cathy
