    Quilting Quid

So on the side of our posts we have an avatar (hint hint) it says our rank, post numbers, and then some of us say quilting quid.... What the heck is a quilting quid? and is it better to have a high or low # or does it make no difference at all and it's just there to make us wonder? :?
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.

Oh My! Just as long as it doesn't involve a lot of very complicated math on my part... I have enough trouble with 1/4"seam allowances!

Nope, according to the directions on my templates it is a full 1/4". It is when I leave the safety of my most beloved perfect patchwork templates that I wander into my math nightmare.
I think that if you look up quid it says it is a plug of tobacco. It is also slang for English money. Quilting Money?!!?!? I like the sound of that!

Did you have any luck trying to pry the meaning of the Quilting Quid out of YSGLCG?

                      Re: Quilting Quid

:? Well, I have 8 posts in eight different threads and my quid is 16. So for me, so far it is doubling the amount of posts that I have made. I have noticed that not everyone's quid is double the amount of posts though. I am guessing that you get one point for making a post and one point for each NEW thread that you post on. So if you post twice in the same thread, you would get 3 points added to your quid. Hmmm..... gonna have to try that. I am probably wrong though. I usually am when I guess things. I am gonna watch that number closer now and try to figure it out.

Geeeeze, as if figuring out what to make next and how to quilt different ways wasn't hard enough of a job to do on here, now I have something else to figure out too. Who doesn't love a mystery though?
My user name is FunkiQuilter, but you can call me Funki for short. (Pronounced Funky.) I inherited the name from my cousin because of my love for unusual things.

I know what the quilting quid is but I can't say. Let's just say I've been talking to YSGLCG and his friend YMGLCG

OK. We have a YSGLCG and now a YMGLCG? I am taking a stab at this one. Is it Young Married Good Looking Computer Guy? Anyway, I was wrong about the two posts equals 3 points thing. I made a post under the ask the shop girls section and my number shot up there. There maybe is a point system to where you post in effect, but my first stab at is was wrong. Hmmm.... Imagine that, me wrong about something. Would have never guessed that would ever happen. YEA RIGHT! It actually happens quite often. ops: Shhhh...... don't tell too many people.

My biggest question is not how it is calculated though. It would have to be, what is it FOR?

hehe, I'm still working over here, the unveiling will come soon, I promise The shop gals have had me full time on some other projects so I've had to sidebar the quid, but it's coming along nicely, and it's almost ready to kickoff. :ugeek:
