Looks like Louisville may have dodged the bullet on this one. For those of you in the path--stay safe. Especially if you have an ice storm. I highly recommend getting a generator now if you don't already have one. A couple of years ago when we had our terrible ice storm--we were without power for a week. Toughed it out one night and to DD for the rest of the time--generators left the shelves fast. Get you milk, bread, eggs, fabric, and thread and bundle up safely in your house.

Thanks, we are hunkering down here too! They are forecasting 2 feet of snow and blizzard conditions if the two fronts collide! I am hoping they are WRONG! Glad that I commute mostly by public transportation!
Hope you all stay warm and out of harm's way!Patti

Eaglefeather_Indiana that much ice can cause some major damage. Be prepared--not only power outages but downed trees everywhere. It was mess here in Louisviile for months after our last big ice storm.Lisa

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
Started here already----freezing drizzle, ice, about 20 inches of snow expected and winds up to 35 mph. Should be a mild blizzard on top of the slickness. We are to get one-two inches of snow per hour! WOW! With our hills, we will be staying in if we get all this! Even the tractor will be useless till the winds die down. Stocked up, cooking and baking today, getting laundry caught up, all chores completed..............ready to stay in or will be soon! Prayers for safety for all! SuzyQue

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
We are as ready as we'll ever be, I guess. I stopped on the way home from work last night for groceries.....needed them anyway, storm or not. Ran a few errands after an appt. today and picked up a few more things. I have more quilting to do on the girly quilt, a new top I want to get started and of course, the hexagons too, so there's plenty to keep busy with to pass the time. We just need DH to get home and we'll all be in safe and sound. Nothing is happening here yet, although the sun has disappeared. I am hoping everybody stays safe out there and keep in touch.

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
It's started here. I've gathered blankets and candles and few extra necessities so we don't have to venture out, but my DH is still at work and will be heading home soon, I hope. We have several projects lined up to keep us all busy! We're praying for everyone's safety!

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
weatherman said we will get the wind! no snow or ice but wind can be just as bad! We had 14 trees cut down in our backyard after one of the hurricans hit. Have one hug tree that is dead and we are just waiting for it to go. It's down in the back so won't hurt anything but the fence maybe.
Everyone stay safe including our friends not in the Us. Saw where Austrila was getting it again. Please forgive my spelling it's late here. LOLSam

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
We had a really bad icestorm one year and don't want a repeat but we are in line for a storm. I just hope we get snow and our power doesn't go out, my birds can't take the cold and we have no generator or any other form of heating or cooking if the power goes out. Hope no one loses power or has a hard time of it. Hugs, Jan LHome, where each lives for the others and all live for God! ><(((((o>

Re: All of you in the path of the "Big One"
How did everyone fair during the night? We got hit pretty hard and lost power this morning but only for an hour or so. We had already piled all our blankets and candles in our bedroom, so we all kept nice and toasty. I'm thankful it wasn't out for longer. I hear we're supposed to get more this afternoon. Better get my machine sewing done this morning and save the hand stitching for later, just in case.
