    Favorite Tools/Products, Books, Patterns, Designers

I'm always looking for new insights on favorite tools, products, books, patterns, designers, etc. I love to share insights and I'd certainly like to hear what everyone else likes.

I am in love with the Dresden plate ruler! I am also loving making stars out of Jelly rolls. It just tweaks your brain a little.

I was looking for an easy way to make a Storm at Sea patterned quilt after trying to enlarge one from a tiny gridded design in a book. I found the From Marti Michell site and her pattern templates and companion books. I LOVE them. I have made more than just the [email protected] squares and they go together so easily. No pins! Just a few extra swipes with the rotary cutter, match up the edges, sew an accurate1/4" seam and voila! Perfect points and angles almost every time! She has quite a few books with patterns and hints in them. If you want to try out the system before you spend the money on the acrylic templates, each book comes with a set of full-sized template images printed in them. I don't know what I would do with out them now. After my rotary cutter. mats, and rulers these are my favorite sewing room tool.
