    Quilting Guild

How does one find a guild in one's area?

    Re: Quilting Guild

Just a thought - JoAnn Fabric Store gives a 10% discount to those in a guild, so maybe that is where I would start my search. Ask them if they know of any in the area, maybe. Have you tried to "google" with your zipcode? Just guessing. Hope you find one!
My friends and I started our own and meet at a local church once per month! Maybe you could start one with friends?

Debi, that's great news about Joann... didn't know they gave an additional discount. Tonight is my very first meeting so I'll be sure to keep that in mind!

Deb in Malaga - must show a business card to get the discount - our group gave ourselves an name and then one of the members made cards for each of us. Every little bit helps!

Also ask at a local quilt store or anywhere they sell fabric. Lots of the smaller guilds are not represented on the internet.

Cancelled again last night due to weather :-(... hoping February will be more cooperative, snow-wise.

I am so very disappointed for and with you. Bummer. Like last night I took three granddaughters to their choir class and sat there for half an hour before someone wandered in and said the class had been canceled - AGAIN. Third time in three weeks. Emily (6) cried all the way home because this will be her first outside course and she's been so excited about choir! . . . mine doust think she protests more because she thought Nana would stop on the way home and buy her ice cream . . . .
