    My DIY quilting/guide bar

I'm always suggesting members to get a quilting bar. I went to use mine because using my foot was too narrow for the look I want. You can't use use it on the left side, darn it!

So I made my own. You can too and save $15-$30

It's a skewer and Aluminum craft wire so it's bendy. This is a lot of wire, but you can find other fun things to do with it. I just happened to have some.

That is clever. My Bernina comes with both a right and left guide.

That is a great idea! I've often wondered why they don't make the reversible . It wouldn't cost too much more to include a bar for the other side as well.

My walking foot came with 2 guides, one for each side.

                        great solution😁
the vintage quilting foot x bar and the modern mechanical walking foot bar goes both sides for me, I place those little quilt pegs on the shaft either side of the holder of the vintage quilting foot due to not being able to fix in place.
but do like your crafty solution👍
