For those making masks can you tell me how many you can make from lets say 1/2 yard? Just a ball park # i want the # for the front not if your using it for both sides.

You should be able to get a dozen; less if fabric is directional. I make the pleated masks. Try this free calculator where you can put in your sizes.

wow! I was going to say 8. I make the pleated ones and get can get 4(adults) out of a 1/2 yard or 6(kids). So was going to double that. I did notice, when I used lining for the inside instead of the same fabric, I did have to cut my binding for the edges out of a different fabric. I guess it all depends on how you're making them

I believe I figure on 4 per yard. But they are double sided because they have pockets. It's the contour type of mask. If I want to save a little money then I use one yard of the main, more expensive fabric and also purchase 1 yard of a cheaper cotton for the back side of the mask. That way I can get 8 more interesting masks. At the moment I have 45 yards of fabric backed up since I purchased a few bolts from Marshall's. I've been purchasing by the bolt because I give the masks away free for the community. Some people do donate so it enables me to purchase more fabrics. Also some people drop off their cotton stash and that helps too.

Yes I use them perioidically and have had fast good service from them. They have hundreds of fabrics and I often use them for stash types of prints and solids. Their link is: https://marshalldrygoods.com/
