    Rulers with white grid lines?

I've been looking for rulers with white grid lines. The only white on available rulers are the highlights. I don't want "highlighted" marks- just plain white. Most of my quilting is done with darks, and cutting black with a ruler marked in black is next to impossible. Tell me where.

Omnigrid rulers use yellow or lime green along with black. Either should show up against dark fabrics.

Creative grids rulers lines are only black and white. There are enough white lines to use on dark fabrics and black lines to use in light colors. I find them easiest to read either way. I think it is a matter of finding a ruler you like and buying them all in that brand.

Would red lines work? Sew Easy makes them, but I think they are UK based. There are some on Ebay. They actually have good deals on rulers I bought a 14'' square (not this brand) and got free shipping.

Anyway here's a Sew Easy square

i never heard of this company, they have red lines too.

Try doing a web search for Quilting Rulers with White Lines. I saw several options.

I found some with white lines and they are a total rip off.

              Hulamoon,
These rulers are for FMQ, not cutting. I recently bought a couple on the recommendation of a class instructor. I gotta say, I really like them.

I was thinking of the straight edge rulers. I should of just linked that one.

Guess what? All the suggested searches did not produce one ruler printed in white, except some straight quilting rulers which are not marked appropriately for cutting, and they are too thick. Any other color on rulers than black is the highlights. I don't want highlights. They are just in the way.

Creative Grids does the best job of marking, but still a little busy. Only available in black lines though.

Am I the only one with a desire for more visible markings on darks- particularly black. I do see more light colored quilts here than darks, but I don't do lights. I don't mind buying a set of both colors, but I want my white!

Sooo.... Are you saying you have no interest if I were to convince Creative Grids to produce rulers in white?

I have those and the green and yellow "lines" are the highlights on black lines.

Well, we might be getting somewhere. That's as good as I've seen (and the only). I'm gonna give them a shout. Thanks

Could you use some of those tape strips on your rulers like Eleanor Burns uses? I don't remember what they're called or where one buys them. I've never used them myself. Would masking or painter's tape work? Hope you can find something satisfactory.

Tape works fine and I use it, but for my needs it has limitations. I do a lot of test/proto-typing, and almost never pre-cut ahead too far into a project. For my needs tape must be moved a lot to be useful. So... I do everything bass-ackwards, so I have different equipment needs than most old-time quilters. And, less than half of my sewing is quilt related anyways. Thanks for the thought. I'm getting closer to the solution.

Missouri Star has the neon ones with yellow/lighter lines. Not many to choose from , but I have a couple and do like using them.
