On a tutorial Jenny had some kind of 1/4" tape on her sewing machine making it easier to maintain the 1/4". Do you remember this? Thanks. Gina

Bee in my Bonnet has a seam guide that is placed directly on the bed of your machine. Fat quarter shop sells it. I have been thinking of getting one since it would be so helpful with sewing diagonal for binding or corner flips..HST's without having to draw a pencil line. I use painters tape now. They come in different colors, too.

Painters tape is a great hack for many things......best of all, it is inexpensive and doesn't damage your machine's finish. I use the hack from this video to create a "block/lock" type ruler works like a dream and didn't cost $$$$$. She calls it masking tape (evidently a Canadian thing - don't use masking tape as we know it in the USA). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MIZVeB00Jk“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.” ― John Muir
