What is that little blade for on this presser foot?

8BE8F21B-ACB6-4A0F-83FA-678250F73861.jpeg Oh founts of wisdom, what does this foot do. I can’t figure it out. It has a thin but not sharp blade on the bottom of the foot,in the middle . Thanks.

I can barely see it, but I believe it's a special foot for stitching in the ditch. Run that little blade along your seam line and it will stitch right next to the seam. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...I can barely see it.

      I think it's a SITD foot too.

I agree -- looks like a stitch in the ditch foot. I have a couple of them, they work great!

It is either an edgestitch foot or blindstitch foot. They also can be used for stitching in the ditch.

It also works great when sewing two pieces of batting together.

in the pictures shows the feet and the names,
the second picture needs zooming to read.

I use mine when sewing on binding. Move my needle over a couple clicks and run that along the edge of the binding.
