    A Statement from Missouri Star - 3/17/2020

    Dear Missouri Star family,

Last week, a member of our Missouri Star team captured this image of a rainbow over our shops here in Hamilton. As beautiful as this sight is, it serves as an even more powerful image of hope and a promise for better days ahead. As we navigate the unprecedented times we are living in, know that we hold the safety and well-being of our Missouri Star team members, our customer family and our community in the utmost importance. With this in mind, we will be closing our shops in Hamilton beginning Wednesday, March 18, and will be closed through the end of the month. During this time our online quilt shop will be open, and we will still be here, online with you.

The closures of our shops are preventative in nature. We have not had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our immediate area, and it is our hope that in taking such a strong measure, we are adhering to the CDC’s recommendations to slow the spread of the virus.

We are very sorry about any of the inconveniences the closure of our shops may cause, but believe this is the right decision given the information we have. We will be doing all that we can to continue on as normal in the upcoming days, and to foster our quilting community online. While we may be physically apart, we know that quilting brings us together, and makes the world a better place. Please be safe and take every necessary precaution for your health and those around you.

    Love,
All of us at Missouri Star

    UPDATE as of 3/31/2020:

Based on the latest guidance from the CDC, we've made the decision to extend the temporary closure of our shops in Hamilton. We know that one day--hopefully soon--there will be hustle and bustle back in Quilt Town, USA, and let us be the first to say that we cannot wait to welcome all of you to our magical little town. Until then, our online shop is still open at missouriquiltco.com, and you can always find us here on Facebook. Take good care of yourself and of those around you.

This is the reason I stay with M*, the people who work hard to bring us great fabrics, etc but the forum members here. Thank you Brian, for the rainbow pic. It sure made my day. Take care & be safe. We know we are lucky to have ALL this. Gina

              Thank you👍

The fabulous picture would make a great wall hanging panel with a slight adjustment to the pickup, (wrapped in quilts teehee)

A very responsible, but difficult decision in these trying days. Thank you, Missouri Star!
By the way, 28 years ago when we purchased our farm and home, we captured a double rainbow perfectly centered over our new home. We saw it as a blessing and a good sign from God.

Beautiful picture and wise decision to close the stores. Your on-line orders will serve everyone well. Best wishes and God bless that everyone stays safe and sound.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Wise move, as we are all in a different world than we were a few weeks ago.

Thank you for taking this measure for your employees. I work (non-essential) retail and we're currently still open to the public. If only all companies would be so conscientious!
