Texture Magic is great stuff. You have to be careful though not to actually press it with a hot iron or the fabric will get pretty stiff. Just use steam to cause the fabric to shrink and give the desired look while still staying soft and flexible. I've seen it used in lots of different ways on crafted purses for decorative accents, pockets etc. I've played with it on several different types of fabric...it shrinks about 30% so you need to plan ahead for how much fabric to cut above what you need the final size to be. They include a chart in the package showing you how much you need.

I have used it several times and quite like it. I only use it in small areas. It causes your fabric to draw up so you need to plan on using more fabric. The package comes with a conversion chart. If you go to www.superiorthreads.com you will find lots of info along with videos

    Re: Texture magic

Paula, my LQS owner has just given me some to play with, to do some samples for her, but I haven't had a chance to do anything yet. I watched a similar product being demonstrated at the quilt fair a few weeks back and that product looked really amazing, I was very impressed. The fabric was still soft/ sewable afterwards, in fact they were using it in applique for clouds and treetops etc.

i will let you know when I have had a chance to play with it.
