    Singer 306K

I recently inherited a Singer machine...fits in a cabinet..have to lift up to change bobbin. The cabinet has some metal rods that fit in holes on the base of the machine. How is this machine stored in the cabinet? I have seen them folded down into the cabinet. I don't know how the machine stays on the little rods? I thought there should be some sort of wing nut or something, but there are no threads or any signs of having anything screwed down on the rods. Appreciate any info.

Here is a site I found on another quilt board that supposedly has manuals for older sewing machines.

I did not check this site out but if you want additional info I would go the the other quilt board site and search "old sewing machines". There is a thread on there that just deals with older machines.

    Good luck!
