    Buying extra fabric

I just got my first order from MSQ . Really impressed on how quick I received it. And, everything
was great. I got the large yo-yo maker and it is really a neat little gadget.

I also bought a charm pack which was the deal of the day. If I would want to order yardage of a
certain design to finish making something............ like a border or backing. How do I know how to
order yardage of a certain design to match a square in the charm pack. I have a difficult time getting
to a fabric store and getting it from MSQ is so much easier for me. However, I don't want to start
somethng and then not being able to get the fabric to match to finish the project. I am particularing thinking about making some table runners from a jelly roll stash that Jenny has a video of. You need extra fabric to make the borders. Hope I am making myself clear enough. Thanks.

    Re: Buying extra fabric

Joy - when I made table runners from a jelly roll, I bought a neutral color for the back and binding (i.e., mine were for Christmas so I used either red, green and gold). I needed 60" for the back, so I bought 1.5 yards of fabric, laid it out and cut the fold. One piece was the back for the table runner and the other piece I cut up for binding strips. I hope that helps.

Hi Joy, if you go to the top of this screen you will see MSQC quilt shop. Click on that and you will see pre cuts and fabric by the yard and notions.. anything you need. They do a great job getting your purchase out to you and I love the handwritten note they send on your invoice. Also you can call the shop and ask if they have a particular fabric if you know the name and who it's by. They have a lot f fabric though, I love going through it all and dreaming of what I'd do when I get the money to spend. Hugs, Jan

If you type the name of your charm pack into the search box at the top left of the shop then it should bring up all the fabrics that MSQC stock in that range. If they don't have one that you fancy then I find that if you go back to the home page and click on "fabric by the yard" and then "fabric sorted by colour" it's a really easy way to find something that matches your fabrics.

        Good luck x

Thanks for all this info. I guess I need to look to see if yardage fabric is available for the jelly
roll I choose. This info will help. Thanks again.
