stupid manbearpig flu........my kids are in private school and it's closed because 2 kids in kindergarten from another school on the other side of town "may have" the stupid flu...grrrrrr....

My son goes to a private school and his is open, but just a few blocks away a school was closed because of a 12-year-old probable confirmation. At work today, (I work at a hospital) we had to have our temperature taken before we were even let in the building. If we have flu-like symptoms -cough, chills etc. then we will be directed to the ER for a nasal swab. If we were running a temp we would be sent straight home. Too bad, my temps don't run on the high side, I could have had a nice day to do some quilting! It is going to be a miserable rainy day here in Chicago. Perfect for sewing. Hope every stays healthy.

I really hope everyone does stay healthy! But, here is my best advice...be prepared! Get your houses in order so that if you are quarantined you have plenty of food, water, soaps, medicines, entertainment...at least the basics for about a month(two weeks minimum). Oh yes, and loads of fabric, thread, needles, etc...so we will get lots of quilting done! If we are prepared, we shall not fear! Lets hope this passes quickly!

I'm not suspecting we'll be quarantined for any reason...it's just absurd to me to close every single school in 3 school systems becuase of 2 kindy kids who go to the same school and are in the same class...why close all the other schools? mass hysteria....

on a brighter note...we're going on a cub scout campout tomorrow and we'll be in the wilderness until sunday afternoon...fun fun fun!!!

Wow, insane :shock: Hate the stupid piggy flu. :x Maybe one of those Kindergarteners was a sibling to this little girl! Nasty huh! Shutting down all those schools does seem a little extreme shell! Hope your having fun camping though!
