    Border Battle Brewing

I went with the advice for a thinner inner teal border and an wide outer brown border. Now my SIL says the teal border is too blue for the quilt! DH thinks it looks great and says it adds dimension to the quilt. I can't decide who's right, so Jonas said why not put it to a vote on the forum? So what do you think? Be honest, please! I know it's not like wanting world peace or anything, but I really want to make this a nice quilt and I don't want to rip out the borders if it isn't warranted. Should I rip and replace or keep it as it is and be happy with it? Help me again to decide!

I would keep it like it is.
I think it is beautiful, I love the pattern and the colors are super pretty all together.

Vote: Don't rip it all out, looks great!!!!
It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive!

      Hi Cyndi

I'm sorry to say so but I agree with your SIL. On the detail-pic it seems ok, because there is a little brown in the inner border. On the whole quilt, it looks a little out of place, because it is made of green and brown.
Its a beautiful quilt. I would leave it as it is.. it is not so bad, the border is really a little blue but so what?
      Best wishes and Greetings

While the border does have more blue to it, the brown spots in it help it work. I think it is fine, and I love that brown border fabric.

Is it for SIL? If not, I'd keep the blue. I love it!

                    Re: Border Battle Brewing

I love it. If the intended reciever is unhappy with it, send it me! I'll give it a good home.

Also if you matched the green exactly, that border would disappear. So having it a bit different but in the same family makes the border function as it should, to delineate the end of the blocks and say, FINISHED WITH PIecing. I think it functions as a border should being a slight bit different.
