    (Flower Garden) 9 patch

One of my Grandmothers favorite patterns was the Disapperaing 9 Patch. I have always been intimadated by it (because it seemed like it would be difficult to accomplish from the discriptions of how to cut) BUT thank you thank you thank you to Jenny for your most recent awesome tutorial!!!! Your directions were so easy to follow!

I LOVE how this top turned out - The watercolor poppy fabric used for the corner squares and in the border was passed down from my Grandmother and is complimented by fabric from my Mothers passed on stash. This is truely a keepsake quilt!!

I love the way the lighter border makes the inside pop! Sounds like a good plan for quilting your treasure. Make sure to post a pic when you are done. I can't wait to try the disappearing nine patch.

I love the fact that there's a story that covers 3 generations in there. It's absolutely beautiful, the poppy fabric reminds me of a top my mum had in the 80s

How cool! A quilt that has some history before you even get it finished! This pattern is one of my favorites. I really like the bold florals.
I'd love to see how you quilt it once you get it done!

Oh my goodness!! What a beautiful quilt. That is a great variation on the nine patch!! I love how different fabric can change the same patterns up. What a wonderful memory you will have associated with that quilt!

I agree with everyone! It's beautiful and I love that it's your mother and grandmothers fabrics as well as a pattern inspired from them!

                              Great job!
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.
