    Sunburst

    IMG_2046.jpgIMG_0451.jpg
Using the lovely Tilda fabric from their Sunkiss range for this Sunburst quilt. The pattern is by Pam and Nicky Lintott from their book Quilts in a Weekend. It calls for jelly roll strips but I didn't fancy having the plain blocks at 5.5" finished so I did mine with 2" strips making them finish at 4" which then meant making tons more but I prefer the neatness of smaller blocks. I quilted it on my domestic Janome (large 11" throat) with a meandering Paisley feather and just feathers in the border. I must say though that even if I'd made it with jelly rolls and less blocks, it still would not be achievable in a weekend.

If I ever got it all together, I'd be too tired to do anything with it.

Ditto to all the above comments. The applique on the corners really sets off the whole quilt.
