Re: dad's quilt
hey every one, i was able to get Dad's quilt off into the mail. he got it. and he says it is beautiful and he loves it. I am so glad i found the missouri star quilt co. the girls here are the best. the braid was easier than i thought it would be. went to moda bake shop and that is how i did it. just looked at the free pattern they had and went for it. thanks for the coodoes. they do help boost self esteem for the projects. all the best to you all. now for the snowbaland star quilt for my ma... love ya gina from mpls.all the best

Re: dad's quilt
no not hard at all. i used a jelly roll. cut the pieces into 7 inch rec. pretty easy. since the strip is already made.
http://www.unitednotions.com/fp_sultry.pdf .
the putsy part was stitch press stitch press. i loved making it. i only wish i had bought another roll of the fabric. if i had bought it here from the girls. i probably could have. and yes i would make this pattern again. then try my hand at being braver to the quilting. so far only have courage to stitch in the ditch. so i am now working on my mom quilt.
we should gang up on the jen and her hens to do vid. do vid.
all thew best Gina from Mpls.all the best

Re: dad's quilt
Gina your quilt is beautiful! You did a great job on the color selection, piecing, quilting and have been an inspiration that I could actually make one of these. Thank you so much for the link to the pattern! Another for the to-do list!
