My First Two Quilts - Finally!

Ok, so about a year and a half ago a friend showed me the Missouri Star Quilt Company's website. I thought it looked cute, but really wasn't interested in quilting or sewing... UNTIL.... I saw the youtube videos! I couldn't stop watching the tutorials. Suddenly I wanted to make everything and buy all the fabric lines. Any way, I borrowed my Mom's machine, and bought a Flag Day Farm Jelly Roll and a Fig and Plum layer cake to start. I finished the quilt tops in about a couple of weeks and they've been sitting on my desk for months. I wanted to wait until my husband went on another business trip to Missouri to have them machine quilted.

Finally last week he went to Missouri and we had Jenny machine quilt them. SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB!!! I love them so much!!! I can't stop looking at them. They were totally worth the wait. I HIGHLY recommend having the shop machine quilt your projects.

Any way, here are my first 2 quilts...

I absolutely LOVE the fig and plum quilt. The colours are gorgeous, the pattern is great and Jenny really did an amazing job quilting it. I hope you have a deserving home for it to go to (if not there's a home for it over here in the UK )

Yes, I agree with everyone else. Your quilts are gorgeous! You did such a good job on them both. I must admit my favorite is the red/white/blue. I love the star quilting too. I can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Now that I've been bit by the quilting bug, I hope to make something a little more complicated. I'll prob attempt it when my kids are older though. It's hard to work on projects when you have a 2 1/2 and 1 year old running around.
