    Batik jewels

    IMG_1676.jpgIMG_1677.jpg
I had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and have made this during my recuperation from scraps and batik charm squares. The white background is an old 30 yr old sheet that is so dense that I had to change to a jeans needle as the stitches were skipping so much. The wadding is wool purchased a while ago from Massdrop and the backing is flannelette. I rarely use white for a background but it really made the other fabrics sing.

Very pretty. Never thought of putting the label angled in the corner. I like it. I always put it centered in the middle on the bottom but I like your idea better.

MAGNIFICENt!!!! I love your quilt and the inner border! The colors and diamonds make this quilt the prettiest I've seen in this pattern.
Hope you're feeling 100% soon. I've nad the same surgery so many years ago, I can't remember how long it took. I'll be praying for a full recovery.
