Ok.. Annika inspired me to practice ;)

So, that is what I did today. I pulled out two blocks that were sitting around, put my big girl pants on, stepped over the intimidation of FMQ that seems to pull at me constantly, and just started sewing...
Not perfect, by any long distance stretch of the imagination, I can see where my dark brown thread is poking up from the bobbin on my lovely 'whimsical' feathers (sounds better that way, doesn't it??) - but I am learning, and I WILL get better at it Thank you Annika

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Just my two cents worth here: I think the value and the beauty is not in the exact length of each stitch. It is the expression of your design, the joy that quilting gives to you, and the creation that is an extension of yourself. I'm taking a craftsy fmq course by Christina Cameli (sp?), she shows the small mistakes she makes and says everyone makes them. We focus too much on the perfect, but perhaps seldom, photos of others work we see on the Internet. Your work is wonderful. I'll be quiet now.
