    Dancing

It is freezing cold here so I hope this happy quilt puts a smile on your face and some warmth in your heart. This is the Tier Soup pattern again done with mostly Jane Sassaman fabric. In my mind all this fabric is dancing. Dancing dragonflies, dancing leaves, dancing flowers. This quilt had a mind of its own and insisted on a bold pieced backing, bold dramatic thread choices, demanded that I add some appliqued leaves and green dots, because how could it be a Jane Sassaman inspired quilt without applique, and then rejected my black binding and insisted it wanted this purple striped binding. I like it even though it it took many twists and turns until it was completed.

Just gorgeous. I have to admit, although I enjoy all your quilts, this is my favorite. Nice addition with the leaves, perfect!

Denise, it IS stunning. Definitely the nicest one you've done, IMO, though your quilts are always show stoppers. Dancing is the perfect name. It's clear you enjoyed making this quilt.

Lovely! The back could be a quilt top and stand alone! The applique was inspired, too.
