Love these! This is a different pattern than others I have seen - can you point me to a tutorial?

This is how I did it. Cut a square of outside fabric, cut inside fabric and batting squares, 1"to 1 11/2" smaller than outside fabric. Iron each piece separately in half then in half the other way. Center all 3 pieces pin then sew along the iron creases then sew along the other crease, then sew diagonally from the corners. Trim any of the batting that has squeezed out of the sandwich but not too close. Fold over the outside fabric on opposite sides of the square, sew down the little hem. Do the other side . Now you have a hemmed square. Fold the square in half diagonally so you have triangle. Last part...... depending on the size of the cozy your making measure from the points of the fabric into the triangle ....sew a straight seam from the hemmed sides to the fold when you reach the fold turn the fabric and sew back up to the hemmed side ....tie off threads....do the other side. That's it.

Sometimes the seam from the hems to the fold is at an angle....cozy doesn't sit flat. Measurement from the points into the fabric determines how deep the cozy will be. If your making for soup bowls then 2" from points is good, if for a serving dish 3" is good. They were fun to make and was a quick project if you weren't making 24 of them. Hope the directions are ok. Since we all sew reading the directions then looking at the bowl picture should help. Kathy

I saw another tutorial on the net and modified what she did. Very easy. I can post how I did it, but it will have to be later. if I don't get moving I'll be late for appointment Kathy

I really like these! If I start right now, I might get some gifts made for next year! Only made one small doll quilt for a gift.
