Thanks, Monique! The leaf topper is actually quite easy; you just have to follow the steps one at a time. I made 3 copies of the pattern pieces, so I could cut them out and still have the original intact. I try to read through all the instructions before I begin; it helps me get a feel for where I'm going. Once you've done one of the Poorhouse Design projects, I think you'll find you can do them all with no problems, as the technique is pretty much the same for all of them - Fold N Stitch Wreath, Blossom, and Leaf. Hope that helps.

These are so lovely. I am reminded of the tropics (Hawaii, Costa Rica, etc) when I see them. The fabrics are definitely tropical and the centerpiece looks like a tropical, big leaf fan. Very nicely done.

Another leaf table topper and placemats

I posted this pattern in blues about a month or so ago. Just finished this set last night. Placemats are from a Carol Doak design (tweaked it just a bit), and the topper is from Poorhouse Designs . I substituted Pellon 808 (kind of stiff fusible interfacing) for the fusible fleece called for in the pattern, as I didn't want it to look "poofy," and I used gold Sulky metallic thread to quilt the placemats and topstitch the topper. Thanks for looking!DSCF2662.jpgDSCF2666.jpgDSCF2668.jpgDSCF2678.jpg
