I would NOT have passed that up. Even if you donate it to the Women's Shelter it was well worth it . . . around here they price them over $100 . .

Great find! Our goodwill would have charged $25 or more.

Score!!! I wouldn't have let that go either. They would have priced that higher here too. I did pick up a beautiful afghan that was done in the block design for $12. one time though. It covers a full sized bed and is very heavy with not one thing wrong with it. The yarn costs more than what they charged for it. The kids all love it and they have to take turns with it.

              Enjoy your new purchase.

It's kinda sad, isn't it, that something so beautiful with so much work that went into it was sold for such a low price. I wonder why it was at Goodwill to begin with? It looks like its fairly new and in good shape. You got a bargain to beat all bargains, that's for sure.

Like Martha said though, I kind of feel a bit sad looking at it.

Rhonda, I am assuming it was hand made and yes I would not have passed this up. I have seen some at Goodwill that I would not pay any amount of money for, but this one is beautiful.

Are you kidding me???!!!--- a whole 2.50$ ???? Wow, that is good for you, but so sad for the person who made it. The thread alone is probably triple if not more the price. That is a really pretty quilt. Is there a label on it? I think it is great that you rescued it and now you can love and fondle it all you want. It makes me want to go to my local salvation army or am vets and check them out.

Thanks everybody. Yes it is handmade. I brought it home and threw it in the washer,Not that it looked like it needed it but you know.It washed and dried beautifully. I am guessing the person who made it done the Quilt as you go thing because it looks like it was put together in sections. It was machine sewn but the binding was put on by hand.I can't find a thing wrong with it at all. I too think it is sad someone would discard it.It would have made a beautiful Christmas gift for sure.MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!!! I snuggled under it yesterday afternoon and just love it.This goodwill is in Murray Ky and they get $2.50 for any blanket that is donated. I get alot of my yardage from there as well for $1.50 no matter how many yards.I am thrilled with this quilt! And yes Nena I have already fondled it alot!!!
