...and she has grown by quite a bit. I decided to go with the plum sashing - I just cut it down to 1" instead of 2". Then I found the purple plaid on FQS to use for the border. I used the plum in between border layers to help pull it all together. I think it works. By adding the extra border layers, she ended up at about 105" square. I usually don't do square quilts, but in this case, I decided to just go with it because it is so huge already. I managed to FMQ it using a design I saw on the M* designs for quilting page. I still need to do the binding and I'm thinking of using the background beige and plum as a flange, mainly so I don't have to sew it down by hand. I can't wait to get Edith to her final resting place! Thanks for looking.
