This past summer I got my twin grandsons started on quilting. Andy was gungho right from the start and finished his. Alex couldn't stay focused long enough to finish his, but we are working on it again while they are on break from school. Re: Getting the grandkids involved
Love, love love this idea. My gk are just 1, 3, & 5 so it'll be a few years before we can sew together. Think how much you taught them! I am sure they were amazed at how many steps were involved and how many decisions you have to make along the way. And tell them great job guys!!

Re: Getting the grandkids involved
I LOVE that you are working with your grandsons and teaching them the love of quilting. It's not for everyone, but Alex might just decide he likes it. Andy is doing an awesome job. I love sewing with my two granddaughters when we can. It's wonderful to spend the time with them, even if they don't really have an interest in what we are working on. Jelly Roll quilts and American Girl doll clothes is what we have worked on.A day patched with quilting Seldom unravels Sharon
