I can't tell how relieved I am ....this is the Christmas gift for my niece Katharina. She loves dark blue and I used Quilters linen by Robert Kaufman as a background. The backing is flannel purchased at MSQC because you can only get flannel with baby motives here, and this would be completely non cool for a 8 year old girl. I love this pattern by Elizabeth Hartman, it's challenging but in the end it's worth it. I may try her kitten pattern ...but first I have to relax and finish two totebags for Christmas. And finish my bedquilt, there's a lot of FMQ to be done.
I don't know if I can write this in a way that makes sense for you because my English is anything but perfect. But I want to say thanks to anyone in this forum for the kindness and support I really appreciate that and am so happy that i started my quilting journey two years ago. Here in Germany there are quilters and I found some really nice women, but most of the people here don't understand why anyone is spending hours and hours working on a quilt and buying all this expensive fabric only to give it away. They think I am crazy
and I don't care. Seeing loved ones snuggling under one of my quilts simply makes me feel happy. And I am glad that there are people who understand and with whom I can share my experiences
