    NCW Group Project is Done!

I finished the NCW I started at the retreat. It was truly a group effort. Many thanks to Jean for all her patient instructions, Karen & Dolores & Pat for their help with the hardware, and Jenny for her help with the DST and accent piece.

The zipper was a bit of a bugger. I went back and watched Jean's tutorial AFTER I had it in and didn't have any intentions of taking it out to do it over. I also forgot to add the D-rings when I sewed the pieces together so this one doesn't have straps. I'll do that on the next one. Yes, I'm going to do more of these as Christmas presents for the nieces.

I'm very pleased with the way the first one turned out. Thanks for looking.

Yay! You finished! The pocket fabric is one of those that makes my eyes go all wonky when I look at it. It looks great.

Or, Karen, as my Mom used to say, "it gives me the bots" - whatever that means.

You did good, Cindy. And, you can call Dolores out about missing the D rings.

Your bag looks lovely. This is a project I want to do - next year!

I wonder if this type of D-ring might solve your problem? http://emmalinebags.com/products/key...nt=16380581893

I think the inside of a wallet was the best place to use that fabric. It was part of the FQ bundle and I had no idea where I was going to use it .

That is not a D ring....it is a fastener for a key fob.

Cindy, that looks great! I personally prefer the NCW w/out the D rings myself. Did you see my or Sandy's wallet? It is called Brandt's Boulevard and I like it better than the NCW and find it easier to sew.

Bubba, what size D rings do you use? I saw your wallet - they're very nice. Who makes Brandt's Boulevard?

                          I use 1/2" D rings. Chris W makes Brandt's Boulevard.

ok, everybody stop picking on me LOL !!! I think it turned out great. Unless you are going to use it as a wristlet, or crossbody you don't really need the D rings. I just always put them in for just in case.
And it was PATS FAULT about the D rings
