Just gorgeous. I love the green fins and lower body, is that the fish fabric you love? I don't know but I love that fabric. And yes, the eye is perfect. It sets the cheerful tone for the seahorse.

For all of the fine cutting I used Olfa 5" precision applique scissors.

Well it was laid out on my kitchen table since the beginning of June. I have no idea how long it took and I don't think I want to know. I took each working session in small increments: 1 or 2 hours at a time. Much more time than that and I felt overwhelmed and doomed to never "get it right". It actually was a great project for those nights after work where I did not want to sit in front of the TV but also did not have the brain power to work on a quilting project that required concentration.

I can see that you did a lot of fussing around on this one but in the end all your choices just worked out Great! I love that little octupus in there, and the black bubbles for the spine is perfect. Also you have a good eye for an eye, your daisy button looks like it was meant to be. Do you have any idea how long it took to make?? I love it when someone posts something that I would never think of making.

This is really neat! I love the way it turned out - you made the right decision about the border. Thanks for sharing your thought process with us. I can so relate to that!

This came out beautiful . I downloaded it so I could enlarge it more. I just love the little octopus in the tail and all the little fishes in the rest of the body. Great job!!! What was the finished size?
