    Jenny's super easy Hourglass quilt.

I decided to name this project the " insanity project ". Why you may ask. Well I watched this tutorial and realized I could use any size pieces to make it. So out came hundreds of 2.5 inch squares. Every scrap I could locate. Then the 3", the 4" the 5 and 6" . Imagine sewing 4 -2.5 pieces into a square, then another set , once done putting them face to face and sewing around the edge and cutting them side to side. You end up with 4 blocks that need to be squared and sewn together. I must have had a pile 10" tall that covered my table. So this is what I came up with. Will I do it again. Well of course. I have a hard time learning a lesson. This is a Quilts of Valor top so of course I will have to pick a more suitable name. LOL

Awesome. You really have a gift for pulling fabric scraps together into a wonderful quilt.

I can't believe you sewed all those little pieces together. It looks amazing! I just ordered fabric today to do the Super Easy hourglass quilt. My last quilt was a Hunter's Star and I wanted something easy to start out the new year. I'm going to follow Jenny's tutorial. Your's is far to complicated for me but I really do love it.
