It was supposed to be a quickie

    image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
I saw this design on Pinterest and thought it would be quick to make as it could all be done with jelly rolls, boy was I wrong as it took me ages to piece together. I used Hobbs fusible batting which I won't use again as I find it too flat and also the glue isn't that strong. I pieced and quilted it on my Janome 8700. I've put the time taken and material costs on the label again, something I will do on all my quilts from now on (unless it is a gift). I used to hand finish the bindings but since I discovered this method of having a flange and stitching by machine, I won't go back.

Well it turned out just great! And it actually was a quickie, the last time I calculated time spent hand quilting a quilt it came to 360 hours. You make great feathers by the way!!

Your quilt is fabulous and the the quilting is beautiful. I've never used the fusible batting on a quilt, but yours turned out very nice.

I used just over 2 jelly rolls. I have loads left over to now make some matching cushions for the bed.
