My niece is getting married next week and going on a Disney cruise. For her Bridal Shower, I made her a Disney quilt, tote bag, cosmetic bags, key fobs, lanyards, coin purse, small zipper bag, pocket tissue covers and luggage tags.
This was the first time I used the Bosal In-r-Form product. It really looks good and holds up well. The only problem I had was that my needle couldn't stitch through the side seams which had a double layer of the foam batting. I went to the store and bought some Upholstery needles and thread. Problem solved.
The smaller cosmetic bag was also made with the In-r-Form. It really gives it a professional look.
For the bag handle, I used 1.25" red cotton webbing, the kind you use for making key fobs. I pressed a strip of heat 'n bond lite down the center of the webbing. Then, took a strip of the fabric and cut it at 2". Press it in half, then press each raw edge to that pressed center line. This gives you a strip that should now be 1" wide. I pressed the fabric strip to the heat 'n bond on the webbing, then finished by stitching it down along the edges and add one more decorative strip down the center.
By adding the fabric to the webbing, it coordinates well with the bag and provides a nice strong and professional looking handle for the bag. I was super happy with how the entire project turned out and my niece loved it.l
