    Much too busy!

Got your attention. This was not my favorite to make. Don't know if you have ever
started a quilt and really didn't want to finish it.
I had one prized jellyroll that I was saving for the perfect
pattern. I have always liked the 3 Dudes with a twist so I
went with it. I knew from the beginning my jellyroll was not right, it
had too many colors/patterns to really blend well. Pretty colors, yes,
bright and cheerful, yes. But I think there was not enough light/dark
for this pattern. And to top it off the strips were not cut well, several
were cut wonky on the ends. I had to sew a generous seam to get 3 squares
out of each. Sorry for the rant, lol

Sorry you don't like it, I think it is beautiful - like a stained glass window. But I do understand about not wanting to finish a project because it didn't turn out like you had envisioned it.

No problem with the rant, but I find absolutely nothing wrong with your quilt. Did you make it for someone in particular? If not, I'll bet that at sometime in the future, someone is going to see it, tell you how much he/she loves it, and you will then know who should get this quilt.

I think it's cool. I bought supplies to make this one, I bought a Blue/Green Jelly Roll... I know it's easy, I just need to make up my mind to Get it done! LOL.

I think it is wonderful! Its bright and cheery! The black sets it up for your eye to see all of it and not be a mish mash. You could always finish it up and donate it.

I think it's lovely so cheerful. Wouldn't that be great to snuggle under on a dark winters night.

I like it - very cheerful and I think it would make a great quilt to throw on a lawn for picnics and activities.

WOW, I think your quilt turned out gorgeous!

On a side note, I totally understand about the miss-cut jelly rolls, and other precuts. It can be frustrating when we start sewing along and then BAM the are not the same size as what they advertise. Quality control at some of the manufacturers need some training.

Thank you for sharing your quilt.

Oh, it is so cheerful. I wonder if you use a skinny border of one of your colors, then a fat border of black and another skinny border of a bright if that would help your eyes rest a bit. Maybe that would help you like it more? That being said, someone at our weekly sit and sew brought in some unfinished projects that she fell out of love with. I took one! She looked so happy and relaxed when she left without them.

I think it's gorgeous...not at all too busy for me. I think you will learn to love it after you live with it a while.

It is gorgeous, even if it gave you pause.
