    FMQ

I have been FMQ for a couple years - mostly meandering and some ruler work on my DM. Feathers have eluded me and been my bane in FMQ. I decided I was going to try and conquer my fears and ineptness. For some reason my brain and hands started working together - finally. Most definitely not perfect - but I'm pretty proud anyway. This is about 24 x 24. Still need to put the binding on.

Nice! I am still battling this fear and lack of confidence! Why do feathers seem so hard......mostly in my head!

I keep practicing feathers but haven't tried on a quilt yet

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

You did a wonderful job! I have yet to even try the simplest FMQ and admire all who just sit down and tackle it!

Excellent job! I'm still not comfortable with feathers, although I have been FMQ for 4 yrs. Many of my quilts don't lend themselves to feathers. I prefer an all-over design that covers the space more quickly. Most of my quilts are baby quilts.
